Today, JoyKim Nursery and Primary School celebrated its 13th nursery graduation ceremony with vibrant festivities that drew crowds in Kumi. The day began with a colorful procession through Kumi town, as the graduating toddlers, dressed in beautiful yellow and black gowns, proudly marched to the beat of a marching band. The procession, a sight to behold, showcased the school’s commitment to excellence and celebration of milestones.
The parade concluded back at the school premises, where excited parents and guardians awaited the day’s activities. In an orderly fashion, everyone proceeded to the school hall, where a series of captivating performances from the children left the audience in awe. The toddlers, from baby class to top class, showcased their talents, delighting their parents and demonstrating the values instilled in them by the school.
The ceremony was officially opened by the school chaplain, who led a prayer and shared a Bible reading. The message emphasized the importance of celebrating small milestones, as they form the foundation of the children’s bright futures.
Known for nurturing God-fearing and patriotic pupils, JoyKim Nursery and Primary School once again affirmed its dedication to holistic education. The school’s directors, Sister Kim and Mr Ssemakula, graced the occasion with their presence. In her speech, Sister Kim briefly reflected on the school’s history. She recounted how it all began in Nyero with Joy Christian and the eventual expansion to Kumi as a response to the growing demand for quality, God-centered education. She assured the audience that JoyKim continues to uphold the same high standards and values.
The highlight of the day was the awarding of certificates to the graduating pupils. The joy and pride on the faces of the parents were unforgettable, as they celebrated this significant milestone in their children’s academic journey.
