Royals on the Move: Day 2 – A Journey of Adventure and Discovery
Day 2 of the Royals’ travels was filled with excitement and adventure as they set off early from the bustling Kampala City, heading toward the rich lands of Teso. A major highlight along the way was a much-anticipated visit to one of Uganda’s most iconic landmarks – the Source of the Nile.
The Royals made a stop in Jinja City, in the heart of Busoga land, where they experienced a fulfilling tour of the Source of the Nile, the world’s longest river. They were captivated by the beauty of Uganda, the “Pearl of Africa,” learning about its unique wildlife, including the fascinating Monitor Lizard and various species of fisher-hunter birds. The history behind the discovery of the Nile left them enriched, and the day wouldn’t have been complete without a memorable photo moment at the scenic site.
After the adventure-filled stop, the Royals resumed their journey to Teso, arriving in Soroti City where they were welcomed into the luxurious Harley Resort. Here, they took a much-needed break, offloading and refreshing after their travels. The day was brought to a splendid close with a warm welcome dinner at Soroti Hotel, hosted by the King of Teso Land. Though it was a relaxed evening with few speeches, the atmosphere was filled with gracious hospitality.
Day 2 was truly a delightful blend of travel, sightseeing, and cultural immersion for the Royals, marking yet another chapter in their memorable journey through Uganda.
